This sailing trip is perfect for people who love being active and outdoors. Your daily activities will include sailing, hiking, cycling, paddle boarding, swimming and snorkeling. Daily activities are fun and not too demanding. You will explore the Peljesac and Elaphiti shorelines and Mljet Island; full of unique cliffs, caves, coves, rocks, beaches and pine forests. The trip is based in the Dubrovnik area, leaving time to visit and explore this famous walled town.

I absolutely recommend going on this trip. It was amazing and we went to the most beautiful beaches and islands in Croatia. The crew were fantastic.

Magical sailing adventure

Wow! Our three day adventure on the Huck Finn cat was the highlight of our trip to Croatia.
We are a family of five (three teens) so we did a private three day charter out of Dubrovnik to start our vacation. Our captain Stefano and first mate Maja were outstanding! Stefano tailored the stops to include more watersports for our kids and that was great. The water is beautiful!
Maja provided breakfast daily. She is very knowledgeable about all of the islands in terms of history and also helped us with reservations for outstanding and truly local restaurants. By the time she told us about the restaurants in the upcoming town, she had usually already made reservations for us at one or two places so we would not miss out. She was always a step ahead. She led us on our land expeditions and the e-bike trip to Mjiet was so so special.
I highly recommend booking a three day sail with them!

Sensational Sailing

Croatia is mind blowing - from the coastal scenery to the local cuisine, the warm clear water to the cold beer. Our Catamaran was very well equipped with the only recommendation being the installation of AC in the spacious bedrooms. Having said that, sleeping under the star filled night sky in the cool is a magic antidote to a warm room.
We were joined by three couples all who enjoyed cards, chatting, eating and drinking well.
As opposed to calling this a holiday, I would suggest it was even more - a re-grounding in life - such was the impact of the whole experience.
The glue that held it all together though, was Daniel and Ta Jana. As a skipper, Daniel’s confidence and experience commanded respect. This was balanced with humor and passion and knowledge for his beloved country. Ta Jana seemed to have a permanent smile and nothing was ever too much trouble. Her hosting skills and engaging conversations made our transits between exquisite swimming locations, lunch ports and overnight moorings pass with pleasure.
Daniel and Ta Jana felt more like another couple on holiday with us rather than separate, such were their skills.
Should we be fortunate to meet again, we would be thrilled.

We had an amazing 3 night/4 day trip on the Huck Finn Catamaran skippered by Daniel and Tajana. We couldn't have asked for a better crew and we lucked out because our family of 4 (kids 8 and 10) were joined by another awesome family of 4 with kids slightly older. I think the Huck Finn booking team knew we'd all get on like a house on fire and put us together.
The swim stops were a highlight, and it was great having our catamaran anchored for a few hours in one beautiful secluded bay. You could swim, rest, read, have a coffee, swim again etc before moving on for lunch or an activity. All three lunch restaurants that Daniel and Tajana recommended were outstanding and very good value for money. We particularly liked the Konoba Stagnum in Ston where the owner joined us with his wine and we lost track of the time :-) which is what holidays should be for.
Another major highlight was having dinner in a local lady's house in Zuljana Bay. It was the home cooked meal we needed after 2 weeks of eating in restaurants. Delcious food, relaxed atmosphere etc.
I'm a first time sailor and I've learned some things about myself that others may find useful for this trip:
- pack light - you will not need as many clothes as you think on this trip, and don't pack a hairdryer as it's too strong to plug into the catamaran's plugs
- buy and bring water, beer, snacks etc as they can be stored and consumed on board no problem.
- take sea-sickness tablets the first day. My daughter and I were fine all day until we got off the boat and onto land and then we felt queasy. Back on the boat we were better. Daniel told us this happens a lot.
- yacht toilets smell like portaloos, requiring pumping by hand and you can't put toilet paper down them. I got the hang of this by day two but honestly I dreaded the call of nature the first day
- there's no A/C in the cabins. If you get too hot feel free to sleep on the nets - it's perfect for watching shooting stars :-)

Sailing Trip 7 nights along the Coast of Croatia on the Huck Finn Catamaran

Such a fantastic trip island-hopping along the gorgeous coast of Croatia! I went with a group of 7 friends, a few of whom had done the trip a few times previously so I was especially excited for the adventure based on their stories from previous trips. All of the islands were fantastic -- great food, amazingly beautiful villages and towns and gorgeous sightseeing at every turn. The catamaran was comfortable and Daniel and Tajana were fun, gracious tour guides/boat captains who went to great lengths to make sure all of the guests enjoyed each day to the fullest. They arranged electric bike tours on a couple of the islands which was a lot of fun - highly recommended. Swimming in the incredibly beautiful secluded inlets they took us too was also one of the highlights of the trip. I can't recommend the Huck Finn adventure enough!
