What To Expect
Elafiti Islands
The day starts in Dubrovnik’s main port Gruž in the morning. From there you’ll ferry to the island of Lopud and enjoy scenic ride.

After spending time discussing kayaking technique and safety, we’ll launch toward the island of Ruda and then paddle to Šipan and its harbor town of Šuđurađ.

As the highlights mention midway through we trade our paddles for pedals and explore Ĺ ipan island, if not the most popular, then the most beautiful one in the Elaphite Archipelago. A traditional fishing island, with just two villages and one road only 5km (3miles) long. We trade kayaks for mountain bikes (before hopping on the saddle, we will discuss equipment and routes, which are customizable to cater to different physical abilities) and bike across the middle part of the island which is mostly flat with old olive growths, vineyards, stone villas and wild fig trees.
In the village of Šipanska Luka on the island’s north end, we’ll stop for a delicious lunch of local delicacies at one of the region’s best kept restaurant secrets. After dessert, we’ll relax with a swim in the Adriatic before heading back the way we came.

Spectacular scenery

We loved this trip! After a 30 minute ferry ride to the island, we kayaked across open water to a small island, then rode high quality Specialized hybrid bikes about 5 km across the small island to a beautiful small restaurant. After a break, we rode to a beautiful beach for some additional relaxation. Then the trip back across the island by bike, followed by making back to the first island to catch the ferry home. It was a day well spent with beautiful scenery and outdoor fun.
Excellent and active outing

We had an excellent day with our guide Fillip. It was a small tour, which was lovely. Fillip is very knowledgeable and taught us the right technique for kayaking. He's very safety conscious. We enjoyed a nice 1-hour paddle to Sipan Island. From there we rode bicycles across the island to a wonderful local fish restaurant and enjoyed a swim at a quiet beautiful beach before biking back to the port. The paddle back was against the wind, but Fillip provided plenty of time to paddle and take breaks to return in time for the ferry back to Dubrovnik. It was a highlight of our trip for the whole family.
Good exercise! Great fun! Lunch stop was not great. Slow to get lunch which cut into beach time. Food was not great.

Very fun but not very clear where to meet signage would be helpful for the guide to have. We had to ask around to find our guide. He was awesome once we found him. It would be nice to let participants know there is a one hour ferry ride each direction.
Scenic but Challenging!

The islands are beautiful and scenic. The trip from the Ferry port is straight forward and the journey to the departure point has great views. On arriving at Lopud island we were a bit taken aback at how far the it was to kayak across an open channel to Sudurad. The wind got up on our crossing and it was a challenging experience. Not ideal for people with a lack of experience like us. Having arrived pretty tired you then have a circa 4/5k cycle ride to Sipanska Luka for a nice but expensive lunch before heading off to an isolated beach for a swim. I decided not to kayak back but take the ferry. My partner took the trip with Kruno that turned out to be quite an event as the channel was rough and she nearly capsized on several occasions leaving a somewhat less than great experience. It should be said that if you are an experienced kayaker this would probably be a great trip! Our guide Kruno was fantastic throughout ,however, if there had been more than 2 of us in the party I think it would have caused further issues because of the conditions.
