Amazing day out with fantastic skipper

We had a fantastic day. Loren was really flexible, amending the trip to take us to shallower waters when my children were worried in the deeper water. Lovely, clean boat with everything we needed - towels, water, snorkels, etc. One of the highlights of our holiday and highly recommended.

Stan is the skipper man! Our private guide, Stan, was absolutely exceptional. He provided information about the area and tailored the cruise to meet our needs, requests and timeframes. We are typically fairly quick at experiencing an area so the tour turned into exploration of other areas that the big group tours would never touch. Stan was very easy to converse with and provided a lot of helpful hints. He even bought ice cream for our adult children when they did not want to come with us to walk around one of the islands. He is clearly a kind soul. The following day, the owner/manager even followed up with us to learn of our experience. This is a first class establishment, and we couldn’t have been happier.

We have had the most phenomenal day with Ivan, our skipper. He showed us everything we wanted to see and other things which we didn’t even know we wanted to see. He was intuitive, personable, friendly, informative and kind and won our hearts even more when he slowed to fish a water bottle from the sea telling us, “our company always stops for trash.” What more could you want?
Booking was a simple process, I emailed Loren and he replied within minutes; we then sorted the details via whats app including the closest place to our hotel where we could meet the big (just 12 minutes from Hotel Kompas and Loren sent me a map to show the route).
We took the 8 hour tour with three of us (2 adults and one 12 year old); we had ample snorkelling time (snorkels and towels provided), saw all three islands (each time Ivan told us key, interesting Information and listed options for our stop), stopped in beauty spots to snorkel and swim and also saw five caves (4 we swam into and 1 we saw from the boat).
The islands: each had a clear identity and we very much enjoyed the opportunity to enjoy each at our own pace. Early in the tour, Ivan asked us whether we would like to stop for lunch and then arranged a reservation for us with a superior table practically in the sea; our meal was divine and may have spoilt all future fish for us! We chose our fish and the restaurant prepared and barbecued it serving it with bread, local olive oil, wedges of lemon and a potato, lettuce, tomato and caper salad. It was utterly delicious.
The caves, once again were stunningly beautiful; each explored at our own pace with information and tips given by Ivan before we entered the water. Ivan’s local knowledge was key as he completed our tour in an unconventional order to miss the crowds.
Snorkelling in the Adriatic was simply magical. We saw a vast array of fish, sea life and coral and were able to capture the highlights with the GoPro camera (included in the tour and attached to a float making it perfect for our daughter to use and not lose).
Ivan supplied us with water and wine as and when we requested it.
This was simply the most magical day and certainly one we will never ever forget.
I read many reviews of boat tours from Dubrovnik before booking and was put off of the large group ones by some of the comments. With this tour, you get exactly what you want at the pace you need. I simply cannot say anything even slightly negative. The boat was so comfortable and Ivan made us feel at ease; he was chatty but not intrusive and was clearly really happy as well as excellent at his job. We felt totally secure and safe throughout the day and our daughter swam further than she ever has before.
So thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Ivan. Life is for living and making memories and today we made unforgettable ones.
